Cezariusz Gadzina River Dream” feat. Rick Margitza

Cezariusz Gadzina (Poland/Belgium) – soprano & alto saxophones, leader

Rick Margitza (USA) – tenor saxophone

Alexi Tuomarila (Finland) – piano

Joris Teepe (The Netherlands) – double bass

Marco Giovinazzo (Italy) – percussion instruments

European jazz spiced with a dash of American flavour – this is Cezary Gadzina’s proposal for the 60th Jazz on the Oder festival. Flowing along a river, we collect the memories of passing sounds, landscapes and colours. It is similar with the music in River Dream. It combines the creative inspirations of the band’s musicians – leading artists from different corners of Europe, but also the legendary American saxophonist, member of Miles Davis’ group, Rick Margitza. It gathers into a common current the sources of their different roots by flowing in one direction – towards the universal beauty. Discover with them the secrets of this journey.
