Artur Dutkiewicz – jazz pianist and composer, called the “ambassador of Polish jazz”, in June 2021 released a new album recorded in a trio. The leader’s new compositions are deeply rooted in jazz improvisation and the music is bound by power and a deep message. Tonal language smoothly passes into atonal one. He makes reference to traditional jazz, elements of free, contemporary music, and utilises traces of Polish folk culture and world music. Improvisation is a deep dive into the present moment, combining the contemporary means of expression with the richness of internal emotional space. Every piece represents a different shade of the multidimensionality of life where opposing moods complement each other.

Artur Dutkiewicz is one of the most popular jazz musicians giving concerts abroad; he performed in nearly 70 countries – from the USA through Europe and Middle East to China and Australia – at international music festivals and in prestigious concert halls. He recorded his album with: Michał Barański – an excellent double bass player acclaimed by music critics as the best Polish jazz double bass player (annual survey of Jazz Forum magazine) and Adam Zagórski – a brilliant drummer representing the young generation, who graduated from the renowned music academy Syddansk Musikkonservatiorum in Odense (Denmark). Artur Dutkiewicz Trio is a leading Polish jazz band with a distinctively expressive style and powerful message. The trio’s previous albums PRANA and TRAVELLER received exceptional acclaim by both music critics and the audience.
