He’s one of the greatest role models of double bass in the history of Polish jazz. He lives permanently in the USA where he teaches at The University of South Maine and is actively involved in performing music. Suchanek collaborated with many extraordinary musicians, such as Zbigniew Seifert, Tomasz Stańko, Don Cherry and Art Farmer. This time he will perform among talented musicians of the younger generation of jazz. Kasia Pietrzko – who will play the piano – is the leader of the trio which released Forthrigh Stories last year and a student of The Academy of Music in Kraków. She spent many months in New York while learning music under the watchful eye of Aaron Parks and Kenny Werner. She cooperated with Stanisław Słowiński, Michał Miśkiewicz and Tomasz Stańko. Oscar Suchanek – who will play drums – is a grad student of the prestigious Berklee School of Music. In 2012 Suchanek was one of the semifinalists in Thelonius Monk International Jazz Drum Competition. As a student he had a great opportunity to collaborate with Dayna Stephens and Terence Blandchard.
